I really liked my last layout, but it bothered me that I hadn't coded it myself, just customized a free layout. And that's ok and everything, but I wanted to feel like a fucking webmaster, you know? Even if my coding is wonky!
My last layout was really cutesy with pastel pinks and blues! I loved it! But I decided to go in a different direction for this version. The site will still have a generous helping of cuteness, as I do love cute things!
I just thought it would be interesting to try a loose theme, something with a little edge!! I've had this Gumby pic saved on my laptop for ages (don't remember where I found it), and I just love the whole vibe! I've always liked Gumby, and these twin Gumbys look like punk rockers to me!
As for me, the first CD I ever bought with my own money was Dookie by Green Day, so yeah, I guess you could say I'm a hardcore punk rocker.

Growing up, my mom always liked to have the latest technology, so I've been on the web from a pretty young age. Some of my earliest memories of the internet are of surfing Britpop/indie fansites with my sister, using AOL chat rooms and IM to talk to complete strangers(!). Neopets was also popular at that time, though I never played.
Later came Myspace, and I was all about it! I wasn't able to customize my layouts or anything because I didn't have the knowledge or the desire to learn to code.
Around 1999-2000, I had my very first personal website! I think it was on Geocities, and I think it was called Rocker Grrrl or something like that. There were a few iterations of it, but they're all long gone. It would be cringe as fuck, but I kind of wish I could see 'em again just for shits 'n' giggles. I know at one point, I had a Tarepanda theme.
